¨My humanity is bound up in yours, for we can only be human together ¨

Desmond Tutu

BIO

Based in Dakar, Senegal. She loves travelling. Nonetheless she has settled for some years in eclectic cities such as Madrid, Barcelona and London. After her degree in Media and Journalism she completed her education at the London College of Communication with a Masters in Photojournalism and Documentary Photography.

¨7 years in the big city had gone when both my brain and my soul started to demand a slower tempo, exhausted by the disclosure I’ve been experiencing towards London’s hectic rhythm. My reaction to this overwhelming feeling was to move back to Galicia for a while and then more southern to Dakar, in West Africa. This resolution made me not only satisfy that hunger for temporary motionlessness but to, simply, be happier.¨

She is currently dedicated to both work on personal projects about in Senegal and also taking photography assignments that dig in her obsessions: health, education, sustainable development, culture and the impact of climate change.

Her personal work is focused on different aspects related to landscape and human values as definers of culture and identity.

Especially interested in education and in participatory photography, she is also very concerned about the consequences of globalization in this more and more dehumanized world. She has experience as a participatory photography practitioner in UK, Galicia and Senegal.

¨I believe in magic and in planet's alignment above all, I have proved myself through my experience that there are many things beyond our control and our understanding. No matter what, I will cross the ocean just to try the best ceviche of Lima and to see my friends; I will give away all my belongings in Dakar to make space in my suitcase and bring back home 20 kilos of Senegalese mangoes for my parents breakfast. The few things that I bring back home after a long trip are mainly food, coffee, lots of memories and old photographs.¨

Her work has been exhibited nationally and internationally in the UK, Spain, Portugal, Argentina, Brazil, Senegal, Guinea-Bissau, Morocco and USA. Some of her photographs were featured in BBC, El País, Planeta Futuro, Akzente - The GIZ Magazine, Colors Magazine, Luzes, Diario ABC, La Voz de Galicia, El Correo Gallego and RONDA Iberia Magazine, among others.
