Video of the exhibition “El Efecto Instantáneo” by Crónica21, collective show where I participate in Barcelone

Jessica Murray and Rafa Arocha explain El Efecto Instantáneo, a collective show where I have participated with my work and my vision on Spain’s crisis in Galicia, a region located in the Atlantic Coast, Nort West of the country. My work is displayed with the work of other group of photographers who have also contributed with their vision on Spanish’s crisis from different places throughout Spain.

 

This collective show is in Pati Llimona, a Cultural Centre in Barcelona, and you can visit it until the next 4th of June. The group exhibition shows the different perspectives that we have offered about the crisis in collaboration with Crónica21.

 

 

New exhibition at Enfocats 2016: opening of “El Efecto Instantáneo” in Barcelona

The past May 7th was the opening of El Efecto Instantáneo, a collective show by Cronica21 in Instagram, curated by Rafael Arocha and Jessica Murray. The show is part of Festival ENFOCATS and DOCfield>16 and you can see it in Centre Civic Pati Llimona from today until June 4th.

 

Crónica21 is an on-line multidisciplinary archive of documentary stories and analysis about the deepening economic, political and social crisis in Spain, from 2008 to the present. Inspired by the Farm Security Administration initiative, part of US President Franklin Roosevelt’s New Deal of the 1930s, our particular version is adapted to the European Union of the 21st Century.

Crónica21 has an account on Instagram and every 15 days since 2014, a new guest manages it offering its own instant interpretation of the world surrounding him/her. Instagram’s language uses a combination of image, text and #hashstags offering a dynamic record of the current lanscape and helps us raise a widespread question: “Where do we go now?”

Opening of the exhibition Territorio Expandido

Tomorrow is the opening of the collective show Território Expandido at Dársena in A Coruña.

 

There will be talks, workshops and many more tomorrow from 17.30h and a guided tour at 20.30 in Deputación da Coruña.

Finis Terre in Vialibre Foto Festival 2016 in Buenos Aires, Argentina

The multimedia Finis Terre, landscapes from the End of the World has been projected amongst other photographic works in Vialibre Foto Fest last Thursday 4th February 2016 in Palermo, Buenos Aires, Argentina.

 

Vialibre Foto Fest was created by Matías Quintana, Isa Flores y Santiago Mele, who had the iniciative and organised this 1st edition of the festival.

I have recently received some images of the group show in Museu da Industria in Fortaleza (Brasil) where I have participated. Territorio Expandido is a group exhibition that gathers together the work of 8 different Galician photographers around the common theme of landscape, which offers diverse perspectives and a wide range different ideas on the same subject.

Crop Circles travels to Museu da Industria in Fortaleza, Brasil

My project on the Crop Circles takes part on a collective photography show that gathers the work of nine Galician photographers on the subject of landscape. The group exhibition offers nine different visions on our perception of landscape and territory under the title Territorios Expandidos. The collective show is part of the Festival 2015 Encontros de Agosto programme and the exhibition is hosted at Museu da Industria de Fortaleza, Ceará, Brasil.

 

The opening will be today, Friday December 11th at 7.30pm, and it will be up on the walls until the next 30th of January 2016.

Crop Circles exhibited at XIII Bienal Internacional de Fotografía de Tenerife – FOTONOVIEMBRE 2015

From November 11th until December 1st of 2015, you can visit a selection of images from my project on the phenomenon of the Crop Circles in the crop fields of Wiltshire, South England.

 

My project has been selected to take part at the Atlántica Colectivas exhibition, a collective show that gathers a group of photography projects presented all throughout Tenerife Island. Atlántica Colectivas is part of the XIII Bienal Internacional de Fotografía de Tenerife, also known as FOTONOVIEMBRE.

 

You can see some images of my work at Instituto de Estudios Hispánicos de Canarias, based on Puerto de la Cruz, in the room Eduardo Westerdahl.

Collective Exhibition in Galería Espacio 48

Yesterday Thursday October 8th was the opening of 15 años, a collective exhibition that gathers 18 different artists in Galería Espacio 48 in Santiago de Compostela for its 15th aniversary.

 

On this occasion I have participated with a new photograph from my ongoing project on the crop circles, The mystery of the visible, and with other two photographs, one from my series Finis Terre and the other one from Azul Austral.

 

You can visit the show until the next 30th of October of 2015.

Finis Terre in ECLECTICIDADE. Diálogos coa imaxe contemporánea

Finis Terre has been projected among other multimedia pieces on the 7th of August in Casa das Artes in Vigo, Galicia. During the projection, the music band Caspervek Trío has performed live to add a soundtrack to the whole projection.
